Emory Information

The Office of Institutional Research is the designated manager for official data collection and reporting for Emory University. We are happy to respond to general requests for institutional information from Emory's administrators, faculty, and peers.

Consulting Services

We offer consulting services to faculty, administrators, and university-wide committees in the area of institutional and program evaluation. Our collaborative approach is designed to make a research project successful, efficient, and methodologically sound.

Institutional Data

Institutional Research Director Melissa Bolyard and her team work with colleagues campus-wide on a variety of projects that include:

  • Providing university administrators with information that supports institutional strategic planning, policy formation, and decision-making
  • Providing analytical and consulting services to university committees, schools, and academic departments
  • Generating analytical reports of undergraduate student outcomes, including attrition, graduation, and graduate school destinations
  • Developing and maintaining a core of university metrics, including benchmarking metrics
  • Tracking data on degree completion and time-to-degree for undergraduate and PhD programs at Emory and providing benchmarking analysis for these indicators
  • Designing, administering, analyzing, and disseminating the results of regular surveys, including the entering-student survey, senior survey, and doctoral exit survey
  • Coordinating the completion of various reports for the federal government
